Today's Bible Reading...

Bible Application - January 29 - Exodus 35-37

Questions:

1.  Who did the Lord choose to fill with the Spirit of God,  with skill, ability and knowledge in all
     kinds of crafts? (35:30-31)
2.  What message did Moses have sent throughout the camp?  (36:6)
3.  Why were poles of acacia wood inserted into rings on the sides of the ark? (37:5)
4.  What was the atonement cover made of?  (37:6)
5.  What articles were made out of pure gold for the table?  (37:16)
6.  What kind of wood was used to build the altar?  (38:1)
7.  What was made at each of the four corners of the altar?  (38:2)
8.  What was made of bronze for the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of
     Meeting?  (38:8)
9.  How many men were counted in the census?  (38:26)
10.  Who recorded the amounts of materials used for the tabernacle? (38:21)

What can we learn from this lesson?

1.  These offerings were voluntary.  God wanted the people to be cheerful givers.
2.  God created people with a variety of gifts to be used in the work.  All of us
    have special abilities.
3.  The people had to work together to accomplish this tremendous task.  We need to
work together today to accomplish all that God needs us to do.
4.  Note - God didn't ask Moses to build the tabernacle himself.  Moses didn't have the
expertise.  Moses invited and motivated gifted people to use their abilities.
5.  What talent has God given you to use in God's work?

Prayer:  Gracious God, help me to serve you with joy.  Show me where you need me to use
my talents.  In the name of Jesus I pray.  Amen.
