Chapter 5 - Removal of unclean things from the camp
Chapter 6 - Blessing the people

What do we learn from these chapters?
1. All unclean things must be removed from the camp. This was done for several reasons.
First: Some diseases could affect and weaken the whole camp.
Second: The camp was the camp of God’s people and nothing impure should be permitted to remain in His presence.
Third: The camp was like a church today. Nothing that is defiled should be permitted. All traces of sin should be removed.
Thus, the need of some old-fashioned revivalist preaching that would bring about conversions which would help keep the church a place where people can meet and fellowship together with one another and with the Lord.
2. Thus the need for confession of wrongs was needed not only to preserve the integrity of the church but to keep peace among its members.
3. How touching is the blessings of God to Moses for the people. What a wonderful way to separate ourselves from each other until we meet again. It leaves a good warm message which says, “I am wanted here. I will be back soon.”
4. In reality all Christians are Nazarites in keeping themselves pure and their bodies undefiled by outside forces that would make us less than the people God created us to be.

Prayer:
O God, keep us ever mindful that we are the body of Christ here on earth. Help us, we pray, to keep ourselves in such a fashion that we would be able to present your love to others in thought, word and deed, pure and unblemished as unto Thee. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
